Rare .32 Regulation Police Target
Hi
This Regulation police Target Model was shipped from the factory on November 3 1919 and delivered to Abercrombie & Fitch Company New York City. NY. This is one of the earliest Regulation targets I have seen, the Regulation police models started Production in 1917. Most of the production were fixed sight models. This revolver is as close to new as you can get I would rate this at 98% plus it has been fired but very little.
It has a few Handling marks that it aquired over its 90 plus years.
This revolver was purchased from a SWCA Member at the last annual meeting and I was very happy to get this revolver, in this condition to go with my 1903 Nickel .32 Target Model.
enjoy the pictures

That is sweet, the barrel looks longer than 6" is it 6"?. Looks like it would be fun to shoot as well. Thanks so much for posting the pictures.

Jim, that is an absolute beauty. I love these RP Target revolvers too, but the one I have (1923 vintage) is not in that class.
Troy, the barrel looks long because the rest of the gun is smaller than the eye thinks it is. The I-frame cylinders are only 1.25" long, so this is indeed a six-inch barrel.

Now that's really neat. I enjoy shooting my 38 Reg Police (standard model) and an sort of looking for a 32 Reg Pol to keep it company. Other things keep getting in the way.

RP Target!
Aren't they something? I have grown very fond of them in general and seem to gravitate in that direction when the opportunity presents itself. You have the very finest example I have seen and early in the production is astounding as to condition.

Very, very, nice R. P. T. I see that it's from 1919 and that they started Production in 1917, anyone know what serial number they started the R. P. Targets with.

Your .32 reg.pol.tgt is prettiest of it's kind I have ever seen!
The craftsmanship on those old Smiths makes them the
Rolls-Royce of revolvers.
