Default The "should I shoot my 1911A1" thread got me thinking

How long before we start hearing advise not to shoot our Victorys? I became interested in Victorys about 10 years ago partially because they were cheap. It was not hard to find a decent Victory in the $100 range, which meant among WW2 firearms only the Carcano or Mosin Nagant were less expensive.

Unlike the 1911A1's I don't think anyone is making aftermarket parts for Victorys. Which means we are dealing with a finite source of repair parts. For decades Victorys were less expensive than their Civilian counterparts, but those days are long gone. Maybe they are finally starting to get some respect ;D
