According to the SW Historical Foundation (SWHF) database the gun was ordered by Mr William Jackson of Ishpeming MI and, a few weeks later, registered by a different resident of this town. Presumably it was ordered by Mr Jackson for it's eventual owner, either as a gift or (perhaps) Jackson was the local hardware store owner?

If the owner of this decides to get a factory letter and an SWHF letter they'll get some interesting information.
