Smile Help me with value of a couple of revolvers please ***NOW WITH PICS***

I have bought about 15 Smiths over the years and now I want to sell them. Some are 1960 up and others are prior to 1960. Here are two I wish to sell but need the value from experts. Thanks ahead of time. one is a 6inch k 22 outdoorsmen masterpiece. I have a letter from Smith's historian that said it left the factory in 1933 and went to The Canton Hardwear Co. In Canton Ohio. It is in beautiful shape. The other is a .38/.44 Heavy Duty. I have several photos of eac if anyone is interested. They both are in wonderful shape and have boxes.

Welcome to the Forum Steady,

I am sure you will have no problems getting pricing here from all the experts. Just to keep things moving it would be best to post pictures of your guns to get the best info from everybody. if you can not post pictures but can email them send them to me and I will post them for you. My email is [email protected]....

the 22 outdoorsman with box and tools can bring up to 1800-2000 depending on completeness of the package and condition. The Heavy Duty depends on Vintage and barrel length and finish, Some are very rare and command very high prices.

Let us see what you have

Nice revolvers!

I would think the K-22 should be valued in the $1000-1200 range.

The .38/44 OD (which should date to about 1956) is probably a $1200-1300 gun. Your OD is the postwar short-action variety that eventually came to be called the Model 23. Most ODs of this vintage are advertised at prices much higher than that, but my impression is they rarely sell at the prices initially asked for them. (Except that when I was young and foolish two years ago I paid WAY too much for a high-gloss postwar Outdoorsman that is a very nice gun -- but overpriced.)

Others here may have different takes on value, so listen to lots of opinions.
