What is best manufactured bullet most users use and what does everyone use to clean the gun? Is it safe to use RemOil?

Welcome to the forum. Assuming the gun is a 38 special I usually shoot lightly loaded 158 grain lead bullets either RN or SWC. If the gun is in good condition almost any commercial ammo is fine but I shy away from the lighter high velocity stuff. Rem oil would be fine but any of the traditional cleaners like Hoppes #9 etc. are safe for cleaning chores. If the gun has the military finish be a bit gentle and don't scrub the exterior too hard as the finish is a somewhat fragile. If the gun is 38 SW any of the commercial ammo is fine as it is all loaded very mildly.
