S&W Employee 44 Magnum
S130802, shipped on January 4, 1957 to Camfour, Inc. in Springfield, MA. Camfour handled many of the sales to S&W employees and this 44 Magnum was one of them.

I totally agree with Gun 4 Fun....
I swear every gun you show is, IMHO, in better than factory new condition! It's like someone picked out the best of the best before they shipped from the factory and then babied them for 60 plus years. And then.....they somehow ended up in your hands. Your "tracking down" skills are amazing.
My hat is off to you Bill. Another beautiful .44 Magnum.

Bill,
Another sweetheart!
Any idea on why that low a serial number would ship that late- demo maybe?
Also, do you know the employee's name?
Good shooting.

I don't know the name of the employee. Some of the S130000 range 44 Magnums shipped late. For example, S130756 shipped in May 1957. I think it is a result of the "normal" mixing of serial numbers by S&W's manufacturing process.

Geez Bill...I thought my 1/11/57 was nice. I think the late shipped S130XXX guns are kinda neat and I really dont think they lose anything to the 56 shipped guns.

Curtis...I agree. I have always had a fascination with the S130000 range 44 Magnums although they are really no different from the other serial number ranges. Maybe it is because I collected this model for over thirty years before I saw my first S130000 range 44 Magnum.

I sure would like a 2011 calendar with twelve of yours(pics) on it with descriptions below. Would want two of them: one for the office and one for the house.

I don't know, I see a very slight cylinder stop drag line. That makes me kind of sick
Seriously, that gun is too good for anyone. It's just stunning.

Start with ultra premium photo subjects. Its the aura they put off that the camera doesn't want to let them down. . Another beauty Bill !
