Default K22 range report

Took the new k22 out for some extensive shooting this morning. My targets were rocks (golf ball sized, or squirrel chest sized if you prefer) set on the snow. I shot off hand with a 2 handed hold, single action. 10 yards was 90% or better, not much challenge. 15 yards was 70% or so, usually missed 1 or 2 rounds per cylinder. 20 yards was a little less than 50%, generally hit 2-4 rounds per cylinder. This was a great by my standards. Also worth mentioning is that most of the misses I knew when I fired I had blown the shot.

So no disappointment here. It shoots great. It really gives a guy the chance to challenge his skills when the gun shoots so well and the ammo is cheap. I guess that's why these guns are so precious.

Sounds like you and the gun did well today. I know you were excited when you bought the gun and now you understand why these guns are coveted by shooters and collectors. I'll bet you are now starting to think about finding another or perhaps a 4" 22 Combat Masterpiece. Dick Burg is right, they seem to create rather than cure an itch.

When I first shot a K22 I thought I was a real pistolero. A good gun really elevates the level of your shooting.

You, sir, are a perfect candidate to test fire a SIG P210. It will do several things, most not good. First, it will make you smile and wonder why no one told you about them. Then everything else will be bad. You'll discover the price. And the pleasure of eating scraps, and keeping your home set at 55 degrees all winter, and 85 all summer. Anything to afford one. Probably even cutting others lawns, shoveling their snow, and cutting their firewood. And I'm just full of sunshine... Wait until you get your hands on one with a .30 changeover.

You can get a very similar disappointment from a M41. The only good side to it is when you realize you're not as lousy a shot as you thought.

Default I went back out today

It was awesome. I never imagined a hand gun like this. I was mostly shooing off my knees. I found that at 20 yards off my knees the right target for a challenge but some hits was an ACORN!! I never would have imagined. I wonder what it's going to be like going back to my M 15 and my 1911.

You Sir are a corrupting influence. Good news is that the P210 Legend is now being listed by some dealers so they will be coming to the US. Bad news is the Target model is just a buck under 2400 dollars, which makes a 617 look dirt cheap. I would so like to own one, however that's well beyond my budget. Guess I should buy a lottery ticket or start selling duct tape Art.

BTW, for those with some fun money, here is a link to one dealer listing the P210.

One of the milder things I've been called. I just wish my aging 210-2 gun had been that cheap! Still money well spent. Just like with K22s, you only need to buy one. Its just so attractive you can't stop with just one. Kind of like Lay's potato chips.
