Registered 357 Magnum with letter
There is currently one of these on Gunbroker that has been bid up over 6K. No dog in this fight, but this seller is slowly auctioning off an estate. I've been watching this seller's auctions for awhile. A lot of rather uncommon guns are being rolled out. I'm sure you veteran collectors know who I'm talking about. Are these auction prices pushing prices of collectable Smith's ever higher, or is this market starting to flatten out a bit. Sure doesn't seem to be flattening out for registered 357 Mag's.

I don't think registered mag prices will ever flatten out.

Crazy stuff, but beautiful revolvers. I guess I'll stick with my 27-2 and my 1955 highway patrolman.....

What was the Reg number on this $9000 gun? Anything special? I wonder what my Reg#36 8-3/4" barrel gun would go for! I hope they keep climbing as this is part of my retirement plan, cheers Dale Z

It was also listed as NIB with box and all paperwork. Pretty rare beast.

I had a bet with a buddy that it would go for around 10. That was a very complete package, you don't see that (maybe on an auction site) very often.
It sold for what it's worth.
Now.. I wonder if 9 is close enough for me to have won the bet?

I hope that is not too much for one in that condition!

When I mentioned this collection being offered I got slapped down by the owner for discussing current auctions.
