Winner-Winner, Chicken Dinner - Ladder 13
Thanks everyone for being good sports... Ladder 13 is receiving a gift card - dinner for two, maybe...enough for some chicken...
Next month we'll look at counterfeiting those old leather rigs for a tough steak dinner or two.
It's all in fun and I hope someone here had some.
When they got 'em lit again my barrel was cut off...Well kinda,
Y'all fly in the making your best guess or expurt opine as to which is the cut barrel.
At 5:00 PM EST tommorrow I'll draw somebody's name for a free chicken/dinner,
If it's you saxonpig I'll make it 2 chicken dinners.
Offer good in USof A only.
You do not have to be present to win.
You do not have to have a correct answer or any answer at all to win.
Every post counts as an entry to win.
Sorry no Subsitutions for vegies to win.
But, you must post to win. I'm not going to track down those othe 843 viewers that didn't post to win.
It could be just a gift card to eat anywhere's...
B is the Cut-Off Barrel, trimmed back by the factory,

B, I think. It just looks a little weirder than A or C.
But I have no confidence that there will be any chicken in my future.

I'd believe a patridge w/o pins before I'd believe that set-up on C. I agree it could be the ramp but I doubt it on this one. Also doesn't help that the shorter barrels are rare on this bird, tempting those prone to (ahem) "improvements".
I'd say C.

I'd have to say B. Although the rib on A is milled down so technically that is a cut also.

I would guess 'A', but I may have inadvertently been exposed to that particular gun in a prior conversation....
I like my chicken fried in lard, in a cast iron skillet that was made prior to my dad's first birthday

I'm voting for A, because that does not look like a factory-shipped
barrel.

A looks cut to me and I would suspect a trick question and guess that they have all been cut.
This one is cut.
So is this one (and the ramp definitely does not look typical).

No trick question...All but one still maintains it's original factory length, that one has been cut back since leaving the factory the first time.
This is for fun...And maybe learning, nah just fun.

I reckon I don't know enough 'bout these things to make even an educated guess.
What I do know is this post has made me hungry for fried chicken.

She rolled her eyes..mumbled somethin about throwing away my Ray Stevens tapes..and said no chicken...
Oh well...still might see where the rest leads... thanks davo!

I'll have to go with B. Some of the RMs that have been posted over the years with known cut barrels have, for the most part, had the rib cut back the 3/16" or so just like the factory barrel. I'm calling B due to the shape of the front sight base, seems a little too squared off for factory.

In 1974, in Thailand, in the air force I had to take a test. It was multiple choice [multiple guess because no one had a clue about the questions]. After 6 questions, I just picked random answers, A, B, C, or D. at about question 35 it was my misfortune to pick C and D for 2 consecutive questions. My score of 28 was about average. Unfortunately, the choices were A or B because the 2 questions were TRUE or FALSE. It was not the finest moment in my 4 year, 3 month career. The OIC and a senior NCO were might unhappy with my answers, more so when I explained my answering method. I think I got 2 of the first 6 correct and that was trying.
Based on this, I pick D because I don't have a clue about A or B or C. But all three sure are pretty!!

Left the factory this way is the clue. A looks obviously cut but I bet it's a factory modification. B and C look original so one of them is a well done cut job.

What kind of chikin?
My guess is C because the flush cut to the sight base isn't normal.
