M18 no dash 4 screw
I traded for a decent shooter grade M18 no dash 4 screw. It does not have the original grips, SN K4341xx - 1961??.
How rare are the 4 screw models?
Sorry, no pictures.
Std trigger, hammer - excellent color case hardening - not worn off.
Thanks,

1961 is correct on the build date and 4 screw Model 18's were made for 6 years fom 1955 to 1961.

Thank you Sir for the info.
Anyone know the production numbers for that 6 year period?

I doubt that anyone knows the actual production number for that period for this model because the serial number range covers more then one model.

Art is correct on the ship date, but the model 18 (no engineering change) was made from 1957 to 1959...probably another example of an unused frame sitting in inventory for a few years until assembly into a complete gun.

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the information.
I took it to the range this week, it seems to like Federal Champion 510 the best.
I do dislike the grips that came with it, so I am looking in my stash for replacements.

Congrats... 4 screw Model 18's and Pre 18's seem to be very harder to find.
picked up this Model marked 18 four screw last week.

Very nice! Mine is definitely shooter grade.
Engine and Fyimo find the best stuff.
Next time I am in Arkansas, I need to check Fyimo's sources.

I have sn. K315xxx, my best guess is it's from 1958.

Very nice Combat!
Like I posted earlier, mine is more shooter grade. I keep looking for a set of diamond magnas at a bargain price, but every one seems to know what they are worth right now.
