Dick, Great gun. The front sight makes it kind of unique. Glad you ended up buying it.

Very nice Dick. Thanks for posting it.
Having a gun from Rays collection will always have a special meaning to you and of course that gun is a very special revolver as well. I love that front sight.

I have S140775 shipped 4/55 and S143776 shipped 7/55 and then S146XXX (I'm not paranoid about serials) takes almost 2 years to ship. Shows how much sales on these slowed at this time.

44HE target, pre-24
I just got mine this week, bright blue and serial number S 144942.
P.S I have never understood the paranoia of serial numbers either,
ok I admit I own a gun , that in and of itself on the internet may be bad, but what special fear is there about the serial number ?
Mine is what I would call 99%, has target hammer and trigger
and Roy has already graciously looked up shipping date for me of
January 1956. I was sad to find out it was not 1957 as that is my birthyear.
Oh well, I guess I will get to hunt for a second one !

Outstanding............
I have owned several M1950 Target revolvers both brushed blue and bright blue, my preference has always been for the brushed blue models. That is one outstanding M1950 S&W!

I have # 127923 shipped jan 17th 1955. When I bought it from a collector friend about 1970 I doubt it was fired. I put one to three boxs through it. It had the original magnas that I either lost or misplaced, and have these cokes on it. Never did have the box or doc`s.
