New S&W Revolver 22LR Purchases
Yesterday I picked up two S&W Model 17's and they are as follows.
I picked up a shooter grade 17-1 4 screw made in 1960 and it is a nice clean revolver and it came with well worn S&W target grips. It's had a lot of rounds through it but the action is tight and and it will make a wonderful shooter
I also picked up a 17-4 P&R with the box that matches the revolver and a tool kit but no paperwork. This revolver has been fired very little and it is in excellent condition.
I got them for $1200 out the door which isn't great but I was happy with the deal.
17-1
17-4

Those are great. I dont think $1,200 is unreasonable. Nice 17's, I cant get enough of them!

Beautiful pictures of great revolvers. I think $1200 for the pair is perfectly reasonable....

Very reasonable deal for two great revolvers. That 4 screw shooter is sweet.

Good looking guns, and a fair price. There is nothing at all to complain about, and there is a lot in those specimens to put smiles on your face. Congratulations on the scores!

I knew you'd pull it off!
You in 'em right Art, 6 is what it takes to get a clean later model K frame rimfire these days.
That -1 looks in good shape to me, I like to shoot a old gun with some wear on it because it reminds me of me.
Old with some wear.

Nice score. That 17-1 looks better than "shooter grade". Congrats

You could not touch a model 17 in the condition those are, in my neck of the woods for less than $750... I think you did very well!

Picked up a 17 no dash with a S&W 455 handeject(WWIenglish marked) a High Standard 922 camper special for $600 total, guess it was my lucky day as the 17 was 95%+ and the 455 was a good parts donar gun that was refinished, the hight standard single action is going to be a gift to my friend who put me on this deal! I don't think $600 each is a bad price, I know they go for $600-$750 here in Canada, and our money is worth more than US right now! cheers Dale Z!
