4 screw pre model 19 Combat Magnum price check
I am going to look at a 4" 4 screw Combat Magnum that is supposed to be in near new condition no box etc. How much should I expect to pay for one?

I think it depends on its ship date - a very early one (1955, in the K260000 range) or a 19-1 would go for more. Do you have any more details?

turned out to be a 19-1
Met with the owner this afternoon and saw the gun. It is a 19-1. It has a turn line and otherwise is just about like new. No box or docs with it. He had been looking in the Blue Book and said that a NIB one is listed at $1850 and he thought that his was worth $1650. I walked of course and told him that I would contact some people on the forum for advice on fair price and get back to him. OW!

I think that is far too high, but I do not recall seeing any recent sales of 98% 19-1s. Except...I would guess Big Larry's is a -1 though, so that may be a good indicator.

If it's just a plain Jane 19-1 NIB, i'd pay about $750 for it.
They are not rare.

Thanks for the replys guys. I know it is way too high and that is why I walked away. What is a fair price to offer for it?

I picked up 19-0 (90%) earlier this year for 275 otd. It didn't come with box or papers but it did have some of the nicest target grips that I've seen in a while -walnut- which I'm not sure was standard issue. To your question, nib would be at least 800 and even more for a nickel and/or a 2" barrel.

I understand that the 19-1s were only made for less than two years and are the least number made, therefore hardest to find. But it's still way overpriced! Under $1000.
