Value of a Pre Model 30? Opinsions wanted.
Hello all,
What would be top dollar you guys would pay for a Pre model 30 (32 S&W Long). I don't have to have this but I am a little intrigued by the little pistol.
The details are:
flat latch
2" barrel?
has coil spirng so I assume modified i frame?
85% Very good condition.
lockup is tight and appears to have been carried but not shot much.
Guy selling wants $350. Thanks for any advice.

Those little .32s are kind of in demand right now. I don't think that price is out of line, but that doesn't mean you should take it without first offering a little less.

What David said. They are cool little guns to have in a collection.

I think the opposite, there are quite a few on GB and only the most perfect are selling with the Pre-30 most desirable. The 30-1s don't seem to be moving at all. I think $350 ought to bring a choice example, but 85% somewhat less; but that is only my opinion...They are very cool guns and I've been looking myself.

I decided against it. I've been having my fair share of good luck lately. I'll hold onto the money for another day and nicer specimen. Thanks for all the responses.

I bought one last year. Nickle, flat latch, franzite white grips, coil spring and a 3" bbl. I paid $280 and was happy with the deal.

I would offer $250 or maybe a bit more. It would make a sweet pocket gun that you wouldn't have to sweat hurting if it is already 85%. Kyle

I purchased a 30 (no dash) on GB last month for ~$250. It was about 75-80% no rust but plenty of wear and some scratches.

And another day is all I was able to hold on to the money.
Picked up a nice entry level 1911 (Para GI45 in like new shape with box and extras) for just $79 bucks more than that model 30! Been wanting a 1911 for years now.
