Default Hey Doc - what happed to this one?

Doc44 - I figured if anybody knows, it would be you. Hopefully you have this Registered Magnum with the dual barrels in you collection.
I'd love to see modern picture of it.
This is cover of 1951 Gun Digest - says it is from John Barlow collection. Do you know where abouts?

I was at the Pittsburgh show and I saw the display and the specific gun.
The awards for this display of fine S&Ws was well deserved!

I know some of the story about this gun. It went from Wayne Betz (a well known collector who really liked guns featured on the cover of magazines) to Gary Garbrecht (a collector of Registered Magnums and engraved revolvers), to Ray Cheely and finally to Sheryl.

I examined the gun in the late 90s when I visited Gary in FL in 1999.

There is some controversy about who engraved it. Originally believed to have been engraved by Rudolph Kornbrath, it has been proven to have been engraved by Joseph Fugger. The extra barrel was added later and was engraved by an engraver at S&W.

Here is a picture of it in a custom made Huey case taken back when Gary Garbrecht owned it.
