I just picked this up at the Ft. Worth gun show yesterday. It’s not perfect. Got lots of freckles but the bore is bright and shiny. The double action pull is around 9 pounds and the single action pull is about 2 ¼ pounds (almost too light). The grips are in pretty good shape. They are numbered but not to this gun. They are about 3850 numbers off. Since I plan on using this gun, there are no current plans to have it refinished. I like the looks of an older Smith that has been well used but not abused. If I can’t find a T-grip to fit this gun, I will probably put on a pair of Jerry Miculek grips. Or maybe a pair of retro Ahrend grips. I have been looking at this gun for several gun shows but the timing was just right yesterday. The dealer had come down $200 and he took in trade a gun that I had been trying to get rid of for over six months. I did good, huh?
