Default Value of a model 22 4 screw

Hi,I'm looking at a model 22 no dash 4 screw 45 acp that would rate 95-97% original finish. The problem I see with the gun is the Smith & Wesson rollmarks on the barrel on the port side goes from heavy to Light with the n on wesson gone. How bad does this factory sloppyness hurt the value? The rest of the marks on the gun are perfect.Mike

Depth of roll-marks would vary due to die wear, uneven polishing at the factory, etc. But with what you describe, I would suspect a refinish. Some are very well-done and hard to tag; perhaps another S&W enthusiast's opinion can be gotten in your area.

gun never would have left the factory like that. a model mark 22
is hard come by, prices on those in very good condition can be in the
low thousand's.
