Default Some rare Ropers!

Anyone ever seen I frame Roper grips before! They are so cool/cute! They came on a minty .22/.32 I bought recently then I stuck them on my 4 inch .22/.32 Man they feel really good in hand and look great on anything I frame I stick them on.
Matt

Great looking grips, I would love to find a pair but being left handed I am afraid I am severely limited. Great looking gun also, is that a pre-war Kit Gun? Looks like a short barrel.

Spectacular stocks!

A mushroom knob prewar kit gun? Was that a special order 1920s gun? Is it a cut-down barrel? Excuse me if I have asked this question before and forgotten the answer. As you know, I am a huge fan of prewar .22/32s with four-inch barrels.

This was a 6 inch Heavy Frame Target I got cheap with a bulged barrel, my dad had 3 or 4 short barrels he had collected and I talked him out of one:~) I wanted to keep the mushroom knob so (Dad) Jim hand fit the barrel notch to match the mushroom knob. Its a great shooter now and I dont have to worry about the finish with holster carry, etc.Dave I think I gave you the number on this one already, will give you the number on the one I just picked up when I get it in hand after the 10 day wait.

You're right, I do remember hearing about a .22/32 HFT with a bulged barrel. Thanks for reminding me.

I have wondered for a long time whether the "full target" Ropers were ever made for the .22/32, since after all, it was intended initially to be a target pistol. This post answers that question definitively, but now it seems that there is one more thing that I would really, really like to have but will be unlikely to be able to find or afford! Nice find there, Pontiaker. BTW in what part of the country did they "show up?"

They came out of a Texas shop. I had to buy the gun they were on but wait until you see it! When I pick it up in ten days I will post more pics.
