Pre 24 5 inch with KB Red Heart Ropers
A month or so ago Doc44 started a thread... The "Best" Keith Brown Grips. Very much impressed with Keith's work using redheart wood, I knew I had to have a set. Jim Rogers was able to fix me up with a set and they arrived in the mail today. Here are some pics of the gun with factory grips and the KB's. The redheart wood really enhances the luster and richness of the bluing. Enjoy.

Unique look on those grips. Keith is indeed a master of his craft.
And a stunning gun in a special barrel length. You can't get much better than that combination.

hi Chad
Gun looks great. Very rare gun in that condition you can count the number that exist on one hand.

I realize this thread is about stocks (sorry you grip fanciers - lol) but I'm taken with the 5" Model of 1950 44 Target. That's about as good as it gets in my book. Wow!

why would the letter mention a barrel length of 4.125 and not just a 4 inch barrel? I think the tolerance on barrel length could easily be +/- .125 of an inch.

the letter you posted makes mention of a 4.125 inch barrel. I was curious as to why they would make a barrel of that length instead of the standard 4 inch barrel? it wouldn't surprise to see a .125 tolerance on barrel length. I think one of my "N" frames is .125 longer than nominal.

steveno, The letter states the gun was shipped with a 5 inch barrel. Is there a possibility that you might be thinking of something else??? No big deal on my end, just trying to help clear things up. Take care.

I realize that your gun shipped with the 5 inch barrel. however it says in the letter about some guns shipped with 4.125 barrels. I was just wondering why they would mention that barrel length when the 4 inch barrel would be standard?

hi
Steveno
all factory letters have prewritten statements that cover all
models that could be shipped . that statement is just part of the letter for information.
if you have any factory letters take a look at them and you will see what I mean.
