Default Lets see your "Yes, I really do carry this every day"

...of "1896 - 1961 Hand Ejectors"

I switched to this one a month or two back...so it is my every day Carry now, and, right off the Bat it just seemed like a familiar old friend and a pleasure all round to have on me when going about my daily chores and errands -

( P. S. - If anyone has a pre-War Thumb-Release or Cylinder Release in Nickle to spare, please PM me? I'd be glad to nuy it from you. The one on my mid 1930s Revolver as shown, is a newer one and I would like to replace it with the right shape one. )

Excellent photo - well composed, nice contrasts in texture & color, and the warped board ads legitimacy. Nice revolver too! Clean Break

I'm too lazy to take another picture of these to upload, but I carry one of the family snubbies about every day. The 1950-ish hand ejector in 32 S&W Long (left) sees the most time on duty while the 1952-ish Baby Chief impatiently waits his turn. I don't feel undergunned with either, and of course if I were expecting trouble, I'd either change my plans or carry something big, and perhaps a couple of friends with guns too!

This is supposed to be ONLY for those S & W Revolvers of the Hand Ejector kind, made between 1896 and 1961, which one actually carries in earnest and routinely.

Lol...

Not 'modern' stuff!

I've likely posted this one here on the forum before, but I still carry it near all the time. It's a 1960 vintage Model 38, that I bought used in 1980. I recently added Crimson Trace laser grips, the sights seem to be shrinking in recent years....

With a 1974 vintage Alessi holster:

That ole girl looks like she's seen plenty of time on your hip. There's just something about how a blued S&W ages with use that makes it all the more appealing!

Great looking heater.

That is delightful..!

.32 or .38 S&W?

I was off and on Carrying my 1946-or so Nickel 'Terrier' in .38 S&W, and, when I got the older 'M&P' in .38 Special awhile back, I just went on with it instead.

I sure like those older Terriers.

( Well, heck, I like ALL the older S&Ws for that matter...)

A wise and experienced man once said, "If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought a rifle." I'm too old to remember who that was, but it represented good thinking!

I think it is very nice to have a 'Sunday' Carry or even 'Sunday Best' Carry, and, one's otherwise daily Carry also.

My days are all the same, or, I would do that also.

Very early pre heat treated fourth change. Silky smooth in single and double action. The gent who owned this before me knew his business. A six incher shortened to 3 7/8 and tight as a drum. It's accurate enough to shoot bowling pins at 25 yards skinny sights and all. I conjured up the stocks for it.

Nice looking piece here and I love the grips. Can you post a clearer, close up pic? Also, I am still learning the many S & W permutations... Which is this and what caliber? Thx. CB

Lol...all lovely...but, the Thread is supposed to be for those "S & W" Hand Ejector Revolvers of the 1896 - 1960 Time Period, which, some of us do Carry on a regular basis, so, that is the premis - to see some of these 'oldies' which are still being Carried in earnest.

In the 1980s I often carried an S&W HE 'M&P' Model of 1902, the 'pre-five-screw, four-screw'...and, if I can figure out where it is or where some images of it are, I will post s'mimges of it.

Oddly enough, when I now and then have night dreams of being in some sort of Gunfight, it is always that m1902 Revolver that I have with me, and, it has never let me down in any of those dreams, either.

Edit: Okay, I found an image of it. If it were not in Storage I'd definitely be carrying it off and on now also.

Not my everyday carry - but it does get carried, DOB 1948:

Hoppe's no.10

*Disclaimer: Was taken to task on another forum over this pic. "...nice photo, bad message."

It's a 1940s "mood" photo and certainly not intended to advocate the mixing of guns and booze. I think we're all responsible gun owning adults on this forum and can understand this.
