Default Interesting K-Frame add-on

The NRA National Firearms Museum posted this on their Facebook page today. I had never seen anything like this before and was wondering if any of you had, or if maybe you have one. (pictures required or no one will believe you do)

Sorry, What was the question? I was just headed out to my tool
shed to duct tape a baseball bat on my revolver.

It gives new meaning to the term "pistol whip".

I once had a partner that had a 12 gauge billie club. It was a single shot barrel that unscrewed to expose the chamber for loading. It was made of what appeared to be stainless steel (but we weren't sure) with a bakelite outer covering. The trigger folded down into the grip of the billie, and had to be opened up to be pulled. I'm not sure of exactly how the mechanism worked but pulling the trigger seemed to load up the firing pin spring. To insure more safety, in the event of using as a club, my old partner put some electrical tape over the trigger to ensure that it didn't flop out during use. We believed it was made in the 1930s. In the old days for me, that was the ultimate cool factor. However, he couldn't get me to fire it. The overall length was about 12 to 13 inches and it weighed about 3.5 pounds. Quality was very good, and it had been manufactured with quite high standards of fit and finish. I don't think we ever figured out what company made it.

The old time cops had some really neat ideas and really neat stuff.

Truck, weird enough to be cool! Now every kid on the block is going to want 1, and drive the prices up on GB. I have the June 1919, 6" M&P, but no attachment. Wonder what the sight picture looks like? Bob

Probably made back in the day when you were issued the gun, six 158 gr RNL, and not given any training to reload your gun. Why do you need more than six rounds anyhow? .

The gun barrel billy is just silly.

L Pete, what you saw was probably a tear gas billy. What appeared to be stainless was likely aluminum alloy. I would not think it safe to fire with a regular shotshell. It might blow up, it might break your hand if it didn't.

If it had baffles inside it could double as a silencer. Larry

No Jim, it was bored and chambered for 2.75 " 12 gauge shells, and was made of steel. There was no aluminum on it anywhere. It was fired by my old partner, with some light "dove" loads, and they were bad enough to hold on to, we were scared to try any buckshot in it due to concerns over the use of our hands afterward. I could tell you some stories about my old partner and myself, but I don't think the statue of limitations is up yet, and that was forty years ago. Just an example is that one of our car guns was chambered in .458 Win Mag. Things were pretty loose for us in those days. I think they call those "the good ole days".
