Default Anyone ever see one of these? (Humpback Hammer Ad) ADDED SCANNED COPY

Found this last week at OGCA. Pretty neat old ad displaying the New Humpback Hammer....available for a mere $3.50 installed on your revolver or could be special ordered on all new revolvers for no extra charge

EDIT TO ADD: Since there has been some new additions to the thread, let's see what all we can come up with. Share all your vintage paperwork!

EDITED TO ADD: I have attached a scanned copy as requested by a few members! Enjoy!

Thank you for posting that ad. I had not seen it before.

The patent application for the humpback hammer can be read here:

Patent US2176478 - HAMMER FOR FIREARMS

The humpback hammer was originally designed for N-frames, but the K-frame version seems to have followed in short order. There was never a production I-frame humpback hammer, but there are reports that a special I-frame target revolver with a humpback hammer was produced for a Wesson family member.

I have one of those framed in my "man cave". I bought it from a no longer active member of this forum (Geoff Moore?). I'm a huge fan of the Humpback Hammer and have a few guns that have them (and one on the way ((thx Lee)). There was also a version of that Ad for the "new" grip adapter. I wondered if there were any more of these out there. Thanks for posting.

If possible, could you produce a high-resolution scan of your ad? I would love to have a copy !

Thats very interesting, I think all the old paper they put out is. Never saw the grip adapter ad promo either. Somewhere around here I have an unused S&W target, on thick, cover-stock like paper. I am not sure exactly how old it is, but its old. Pre WW2 maybe. We should put a thread together of all the old paper items we have.

The best collection of S&W paper for these things that I have seen is in the relatively new book: MAGNUM The S&W Magnum Phenomenon by Timothy Mullin and published by Collector Grade Publications. Many, many excellent color photographs from this era and Reg. Mag. info that doesn't appear anywhere else.

The only complaint that I have for it is the column layout sometimes makes it difficult to follow because of all of the breaks for the photos. Cost about $70 but I think it is well worth it if you are interested in these things (and who among us isn't?).

David.
It is a Club Gun, .22/34 sn 0345. I own it. Somewhere on the forum there is a picture of it.

Here is the target. It measures 9X12+, and I would guess is on something close to 110 pound cover stock. This is a flashless photo, and for some reason the black is washed out. Weird, as on the target the black is much darker than it shows in the photo.
The backside might interest some, as I think it sums up the basic course of fire, used "back then" at Camp Perry and other venues across the country. Also the combination of the US Revolver Association and S&W apparently producing the targets.
I don't know much about the US Revolver Association, can anyone here provide some details? Was it absorbed by the NRA at some point?

Hi Kris, you had a lot of cool stuff at the bunch. I'd love to have a gun with a hump back on it. I have 2 concentric hammers. Hope you make it in the fall, good to see you again. Larry
