Default Two favorites

My two all-time favorite S&W revolvers are the 5" M&P and the older versions of the K22. I have several of both from different eras. When I'm not doing serious training or shooting bullseye with the USAR Service Pistol Team I like to take one of each out for a couple of hours of stress-free shooting (not practice) at the range. These two, a '53 K22 and an M&P transition, are superb shooters with factory .38 wadcutters and Eley 10X .22 Match. It doesn't get any better than this for a relaxing day off.

Thumbs up

Great photograpy of classic revolvers.
The 22 cal and the 38spl cover about all the shooting I do these days, it's funny the older I get the more I shoot the guns of my youth!

Good to see you leave the diamond stocks on a coupla' nice "shooter guns", it makes them group tighter too!

The 5", five screw M&P is one of my favorite revolvers. It just seems to have perfect proportions. Those are beautiful guns.

Bob,

I can appreciate your choices here. I really like the 5" transition M&P, ... a real sweetheart!

I couldn't agree more on your revolver choices and for me a shooting session usually ends with me shooting 22LR ammo out of one of my Model 17's or 617's.

Great choices and always nice to hear of an active shooter. Does the Eley competition .22 also come in hollowpoint? I am more interested in hunting with my .22? CB

The Eley is strictly for competition; 40 grain lead bullet.

Great guns. The top edge profiles of the stocks are different. Is the M&P wearing 'high-horns'? I've been trying to figure out what distinguishes the difference and this picture seemed to be a great chance to inquire!
