I need to get some better pictures but it shows the current grips.

Hello mlapaglia
As Other's have said, the Magna stocks were normally found on the Pre-27's. That does not mean that a set of Target stocks cannot be found on one as some ordered them with Target stocks or replaced their Magna's with diamond Target stocks. In the very early 1950's time span we saw some Non Relieved style diamond Target stocks shipping on the N-Frame Target revolver's. In 1955 They offered Diamond center Target stocks and this style had the Coke Profile, as sen in the all Model circular's flier. These stock's were placed on the Pre-29's as well as other Target revolver's at the customer's request for an additional cost of $7.00 Per Pair & In 1956 They Offered select wood Target stocks made from Ganacalo Alves wood. The early Target stocks would have been the Non Relieved style meaning no oval cut in them and flat shaped side panels. The Next one's offered I assume around late 1955 time span were the Coke Profile Target stock's. These came on the Pre-29's as well as other Target guns at the customer's request, or could have ben bought as an add on set of stocks. This style would have the Oval shaped cut out and looking from the rear the stock Panel's they would have had a Coke Bottle Profile to them with a slight Palm swell , with a More broad style of checkering extending almost all the way to the back strap area. This style was used from sometime in late 1955 to roughly 1965 or so, when they dropped the coke profile to a newer style flater stock Panel without as much broad checking and these were around until around 1968 time span when they dropped the center diamond on them. Stocks made after that are called Non Diamond style and they were made until around 1978 or so when they Introduced the new style cut out which was cresent shaped and allowed the use of a speed Loader...Shown below is the various style of Target stocks as they changed through time. I hope this helps, Hammerdown
