VARIATIONS OF POST WAR HELPFUL HINTS?
I WAS LOOKING AT MY POST WAR HELPUL HINTS AND NOTICED SOME DIFFERENCES IN THEM. FIRST THE SIZE LETTERING ON THE FRONT IS DIFFERENT. SECOND, THE BORDER INSIDE IS DIFFERENT AT THE TOP AND THERE IS A SECTION FOR HOW TO ADJUST SIGHTS. THIRD, THE BACK DIAGRAM DOES NOT HAVE THE "S&W RUGGED DESIGN AND RUGGED CONSTRUCTION FRON ENE TO END ASSURES POSITIVE FUNCTIONING, UNFAILING ACCURACY S&W. PRINTED IN USA."
HERE IS THE FIRST ONE:
THIS IS THE ONE WITH THE VARIATIONS:
HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN THESE VARIATIONS AND ARE THEY CORRECT? THE WIDTH OF THE FIRST ONE IS ABOUT 1/4-3/8s INCHES WIDER THAN THE VARIATION ONE. YOUR INPUT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
BILL

Bill...I have the brochure with the SIGHT ADJUSTMENT section. I would guess it dates to 62/63 based on the configuration of the M&P illustrated on the back page.

Bib Larry...Most of the "modern" Parts & Instruction sheets were developed in early 1960. I assume the Helpful Hints brochure was phased out at that time.

Thanks Bill. Some of the later ones show a 4 screw M10 which should be around 1961 or 62, and the one you and I have is post 4 screw. Thanks, Big Larry

Thanks, it confirms that there were more than one variation on these.
