Talking Today's Gun Show Find

Attended a little gun show in the Florida panhandle today and found this post war 5 screw snubnose .38 special for 4 bills. All numbers match including the grips, serial as pictured. Any info that you might have would be appreciated.

I think you get to go to many gunshows. It ain't fair to the rest of us. Nice gun, I like them fish hook hammers. Also I wanted to tell you that I went through my parts drawer and I don't have that part we talked about at Dothan. It was all K frame stuff.

Nice score. that gun's twin was 475 in Birmingham this afternoon. You did good! I have a weakness for k frame snubs.

With that serial number, you are looking at 1948. This would be first year production for the new short-action K-frame M&Ps -- "Pre-10s."

$400 is a very good price for that model in that condition. You made a great buy with that one.

I love those 2" M&Ps! Best looking of the S&W snubs, IMO.
