Default Date for Early Regulation Police.

Hi Guys,
I know y'all get tired of looking stuff up for guys like me, but could someone please give me a reasonable estimate of a date for my Regulation Police. It is serial number 5551, with a patent date of June 5, 1917 on the bottom of the grip, and a last date of Dec. 29, '14 on the top of the barrel. It's in great mechanical shape with a nice bore and about 80% of the original blue. It is chambered for .38 S&W. Thanks.
