Default 4 screw 29 grips

I recently purchased a 4 screw Model 29, S206XXX, I guess I got one that someone in the past had removed the original coke grips from, although it does have nice set of diamond targets on it. Did all early 60's N frame guns leave the factory with cokes?

This is my first post and my first attempt at attaching pictures. I am going to attempt to attach 2 pictures which are not the best, but as I always see show me some pictures.

thanks nuguy

Welcome to the forum.
I'm surprised that a bunch of guys haven't jumped on this one. Yes, they all left with cokes during the time frame your gun was made.

I own S208XXX, shipped March '61. This gun has a more honest wear on it that what actually shows up in the picture-

Both are fine looking guns. To bad someone harvested the cokes on nuguy's. While not the original stocks, the do look great.

I agree with W 4 the diamond targets on it are quite nice.
Cokes can be found sometimes rather cheaply too.
I found two sets this year under $ 70. each.

Mine didn't come to me with cokes either. I put that set on, but have since switched them out for a set that was modified at some point in their life to look just like the sets on the cover of the SCSW 3rd. I just don't have a picture of them. They are actually older than the set in the picture above, and are more "coke bottle" shaped than the set above. Except for the football modification they are very nice old cokes. I should get a picture taken of them sometime.

Default thanks everyone for the response

I was reasonably sure they all had cokes but I could not pass on the gun when it was available. I have a nice set on my first year 57, so I guess I have to watch for a set for the 29.

Thanks again
