This poor thing has been rechambered and refinished I have the letter but can't find it at the moment.

That is a beauty. Properly re-finished guns don't bother me when it comes to old I,II,III HE's, and .45 Colt is just a lot cooler in a TL than 455 IMO.

I purchased a Venezuelan FN49 online that has wood grain like your table.
The tiger striped stock / fiddle back wood grain spoke to me though the picture online. I just had to have it. When it arrived the box was in half. The ups gal(pretty little gal) told me to open it for damage. I showed it to her saying ain't she really Purdy. Luckily it wasn't hurt. We just don't see good wood grain anymore.

Is your TL Canadian or British? I can't see any proof marks. My #4431 had been crudely re-finished with almost all marks gone. Yours looks a lot better than mine! I gotta get busy.
