Thanks All,
Jim, I saw that nickel Target as well. It was easy on the eyes to say the least.
Bengal fan, I am learning to like nickel. I've always a slow learner, but hopefully better late than never.

Since the OP doesn't normally like nickel, and I prefer it, I thing I should be allowed to make a reasonable offer on the lovely revolver.

Don't like nickel? Your kidding me right? Just sit back pop a cold one and look at it, because it will grow on you.
The very first nickel s&w revolver I ever seen was a new m29 with a 6 1/2" barrel my buddy purchased during the dirty Harry craze. I can still see him holding it up in my mind even today. Those big n frames are awesome in nickel finish. So are all the other s&w guns in that world famous s&w nickel finish.
Blue is cool, Stainless is better, but nickel is freaking awesome.
I say buy it while s&w is still offering it, we never know.

Trust me you will get hooked on nickel. I like blue and stainless finishes but nickel finish brings back the 1800's when s&w was doing the nickel finishes. It's part of the s&w history that was done for eons. We can own the best of all three finishes that s&w has to offer.
Now we have a problem that this creates too. Do we buy all three finishes in one caliber & model?
Example a model 29, with a 4" in 44mag in stainless, in nickel and In blue? I'm tossing this problem around in my mind right now. Maybe a few different calibers in different finishes will do in a assortment of different barrel lengths?
I say go for the gusto, go for the nickel when we see it
It took me over 40 years to buy my first s&w. Of course my first few new ones were in nickel.
I'm also finding these awesome revolvers in excellent condition and hardley shot.

Well I am not a big Nickel fan either but I CERTAINLY would have done the same as you. The grips are gorgeous too! Sometimes you just have to bend.

That is about the most beautiful Triple Lock that I have seen. I thought I had a nice one until I saw your perfection. WOW!

When I walked into my LGS a couple of years ago and the whole gun case was marked from $599 / $699 for all the brand new N frames in nickel I should of used both my plastic cards, my aarp discount and remortgaged the farm and purchased every darn one of them. Plus I should of purchased the blue and stainless n frames too. I was blinded by the new s&w m57 in 41magnum. I wanted one all my life.
I'm thinking with the cost of doing nickel finishes that it maybe eliminated someday. Then the nickel guns will be priceless.

As a similarly minded fellow with a distaste for nickel guns I have to say that there are times when a nickel gun is worth buying. This was undoubtedly one of those times.
That's one of the very few nickel guns I would be proud to own.

Just think how different the handgun world would be IF Dirty Harry HAD used a Nickel 6 1/2" Mod 29.
