Gun Show Find Pre 27 3 1/2"
Just got back from our local gun show where I picked up a very nice pre 27. I want to thank "valbehaved" for his advice this morning.

Wow, Jim!
Another gorgeous pre-27!
When it rains, it pours.
It seems that everyone decided to bring their 3.5 inch pre-27s to sell at the gun shows this weekend...
I think the condition is even better than the ones I posted!
Enjoy!

Times are getting tough and more and more older S&W revolvers will surface as people have to decide to pay bills, eat, buy gas, ETC. If they have one or two weapons that will cover their needs they will reluctantly start to sell off the others to pay their bills.
Great purchase of a much sought after S&W Model 27.

It's what keeps us all going back to gun shows, over and over...the eternal hope of finding that one overlooked piece at a fair price.
It still happens, and the hunt is still fun. Congrats on a great addition!!!!

My first thought was to give this post a "Like," but there is nothing to like about folks having to sell something as special as a classic revolver, just to make ends meet . So I'll just have to agree with this comment, and note, this may be a good time for collectors who have managed to put a few bucks aside.

Thankfully this was not someone that was selling out his collection to pay the bills. He ended with some of the duplicates I have and I ended with one of his.

Sadly it's true. I think in the next few years it will be happening a lot more.
