I am trying to fing out exactly what I have and a value on it.
I think it is a 1905 second change. serial #127768 5 screw 38 spl 5" barrel w/screw on forward lower handle.
I am new to this site and will try to upload pics.
Welcome! I think you have the ID correct; the screw on the forward grip strap doesn't count in the numbering system. It appears fairly worn, but if it is mechanically sound it is probably worth $250 as a shooter, with light .38 Special loads only. Hope this is helpful.
You have a 5" .38 Hand Ejector, Model of 1905 2nd Change, manufactured 1907-1908, commonly called the "Military & Police". What did you want to know????
It is mechanically sound just the nickel finish is pretty worn. The value of it would be helpful. The post above said $250. Is this your acessment also?
