I Frame Grip Question
hi guys!
i just picked up some brass for my much loved 32 hand ejector and i want to take it out for some bunny or squirrel hunting this year.
The small grips are not my idea of good grips for target shooting.
i have seen a a handful of 32 HEs with extender grips like that on the Regulation police.
i was wondering if anyone sells any grips that would fit this?
here's a pic of my gun if it helps at all
thanks guys! can't wait to do some more shooting with this little gem

You can put a pair of J frame target grips on your revolver. I'm sure someone will post picture soon

your gun is a .32 hand ejector. the .32 Regulation Police, that takes the larger grip, has a rebated backstrap to accept the grips. they will most-likely not fit. You might search out the purchase of a set of Bekaert target grips made for the .22, or try J-frame grips.

thanks or the info guys. i should have stated that i was trying to go for the old school look too.
i'm not a huge fan of the look of the target grips on these older i frames. i real like the look of the RP grips. i think they compliment the lines and fit that old school style

I ordered some Regulation Police grips from Numrich a few months back, and put a set on a .32 HE. With a little careful whittling, they can be made to fit, and much improved the feel of my gun with a 6" barrel. The grips I got from Numrich must have been taken off of well used RP guns because they are well worn, especially on the right grip. However, for around $14 they are well worth it for the improvement in feel of the gun.

You might check with these folks. I've been thinking of ordering a pair for one of my i-frames.

Many people are in the reproduction grip business. Google is your friend. So is eBay.

You can also try a J frame T-Grip. It will fit the Improved I Frame fairly well.

I'm not 100 % sure so wait for confirmation on this but I think that J frame targets would work.

Michael,
Your gun has the standard round butt grip frame. Following are the choices to keep the pre war traditional look.
Below is the Reg Police extended stocks on the correct rebated grip frame. The 1st photo shows where a little wood will need removing to fit your rd butt frame w/o the rebate:
Modified RP grips to fit round butt:
Hard rubber Target stocks with two screws showing the factory inlay for the round butt frame and wood covering the entire backstrap. They will also fit on rebated grip frames:
Target stocks also come in wood:
Interchangeability of I and J frame stocks:
ANY I frame pre and post war, and J frame (Baby J) with I frame size grip (these have the small, rounder trigger guard, and they are PRE Models of 1953):
ANY I frame and J frame with J frame size grip Models of 1953 and up (these have the larger egg shaped trigger guard):
And ANY J frame size stocks including the post war target stocks will fit any pre or post war I frame. Of course J frame Magnas will extend beyond the butt and must be trimmed or filled.
I guarantee it! The grip locating pin is in the same place for all of these applications.
Post war target stocks are the most hand filling (they can also be found smooth w/o checkering):
They can be trimmed at the back and the butt like this on my .32 M30-1:
I can share the steps to do that and make the filler piece for the butt if interested.

Michael, if you have a Dremel, with just the slightest bit of removing a bit of material you can even make the modern factory rubber J-Frame combat grips fit the i-frame really well. Here is my 1903 3rd Model built in 1924 wearing them. Took about 10 minutes to make the fit. I've put almost every J RB grip on an I without much work. Even an old pair of J Mustang grips on a post war 1903.
