Whats next s&w wise?
What s&w revolver would you add next?
These are all pre model That I have already below.
S&W K22 masterpiece 6" barrel 1948 99% condition.
S&W K38 combat masterpiece 4" barrel 99% condition.
S&W K38 masterpiece target 6" barrel 99% condition.
So what would you add next?
S&W model 19 combat magnum 4" ??
S&W heavy duty 38/44, 4"??
Other ????
I can't do a complete every model collection but I'd like to add a few choice revolvers. I guess I'm into the pre model number and k frames.

Get into pre war guns, it's a glorious new world. I love my post war guns, but the pre war ones are somehow more satisfying to collect and enjoy, after you have the cream of the post war crop to shoot.

You'll get 100 different answers from 100 different people. You need to develop your own ideas as to what should be next.

The K-32 is an obvious choice if you are into building a competitive target revolver collection. But those are hard to come by and expensive when found. Then there are pre-WWI and pre-WWII K-frame target models (going back to the earliest days of the K-frame), the early post-WWII Mexican Models (again, very unusual and expensive), then the various later Model-numbered Masterpieces. If that's where you want to go, .38/44s and the Model 19s just do not fit into the pattern. If you are serious, decide exactly what you want, make a list, and focus only on those revolvers. And I hope you have deep pockets-you'll need them.

Without a doubt go for the K32 Masterpiece. Putting aside the combat, 4inch, are the other two 5 screw? Plan on dropping $3,000.
For the experts, isn't the target the same as Masterpiece in OP's post?

This gets bandied about a lot. The postwar boxes were marked as "K-xx Masterpiece," and they are target revolvers. That's also how they were advertised. And then there is the K-xx Combat Masterpiece from 1950, which is much the same as the 6" target version, but with a 4" barrel. It was intended more for duty use than as a target gun. But some 6"-barreled target revolvers were also used as duty guns.

If I was in your shoes I would look for a Combat Masterpeice or a model 19.
In my opinion it doesn't get much better.

I'm looking at a model 19 when a model 57 in nickel with a 8 3/8" barrel in nickel shows up. A nickel N frame with a 8 3/8" barrel is hard to pass up?
I purchased the m57 in nickel. I may go for the m19 too.

My dad had a 6 inch Heavy Duty. We shot that thing a lot when I was young. Get the Heavy Duty.

If you wanted to stay within the Masterpiece series, you could expand into the 8-3/8" barrel models. There's also the 4" K-22 Combat Masterpiece (Model 18). And if you use .22 Magnum in other handguns or rifles, you may be interested in the Model 48. This was offered in different barrel lengths, too, and some came with 2 cylinders.
Finding 99% examples of these should keep you busy for a while and put a hefty dent in your wallet. If you want to get real adventurous, look for a pristine K-32.

I think the guy selling the m57 / 8 3/8" barrel backed out. I hit the buy it now and had no answer to two emails.
The s&w m19 or the s&w HD 38/44 maybe a choice.

The last pristine k32 I seen was $2k. The other k series revolvers did cross my mind.

Ok here's what happened to me now twice with the same online seller. I think it's the same gun too. I hit the online buy it now button. I email the info and no return message the first time. The second time six months later I hit the buy it now button and email the info again that night, I messaged him again in the morning. Now the gun is gone right away from the site. He usually keeps it marked sold for a week+. I got a phone call today he sold the gun. I think it's weird and the price was $950. I don't know maybe it's me I just find it odd I hit buy it now twice at two different times and lost.

Big Bill, it appears that you are striking out in too many random directions, the danger of which is that you will become a revolver accumulator, not a revolver collector. Nothing wrong with that, so long as you recognize the distinction. Collectors usually have central themes or specialties (sometimes more than one) in their collections. Not many can afford to collect everything. And even if you could, where would you store it?

I would like a few N frames with 8 3/8" & 4" barrels in nickel. Then the m19, then will look at some pre-war revolvers. I'm in no rush.

If you accumulate enough at some point you will have a collection. Keep going and have fun. Dwalt is correct, however, some focus is a good thing. I've slipped backward, 1950's, then 30's, then pre-WWI, and now New Model #3's. It's all good. I'd suggest you keep trying for a K32. They aren't easy to find and the search is gratifying.
