Jack, I have an S prefix M&P #S910930 which has the one line address and a ramp front sight. The barrel is properly numbered to the frame and looks completely original to the gun. Do you have any other similar S prefix guns in your database with ramp front sight? My gun is a Cleveland Police Dept. gun and is so marked with "CPD" inside a circle. Thanks, Ron

Absolutely not, and I don't think they exist. I know this has been discussed previously, and I think you need to post photos so we can see the ramp sight you are telling us about. My belief is that it has been altered. So, let us take a look at it.
If it does appear to be original, then you definitely should have it lettered. Who knows? We could be wrong, but there is no evidence at this point that we are.
Again, it would be helpful if we could see what you are seeing.

I will try to get my son to help me post some pix of the ramp front sight. I notice that the serrations on this sight are much finer than on my 1957 vintage model 10.
