Oh my!
K-22 Masterpiece/model 17 is my favorite to shoot.
My eyes widened, my right hand quivered, and my heart quickened at the sight of your most magnificent revolver.
That's very nice.

Oh, please describe what the action feels like on that gun. Keep the description family friendly.

You know that this King Company was some fly-by-night company that did nothing but ruin the value of fine firearms!! Now it is totally worthless.
To keep your embarrassment to a minimum, you could just send that loser to me!
Great find!!!!!!!!

Okay, that's the first time I've seen jeweled parts on a gun and thought it was a good idea. Thanks for sharing

Oh No, it's not original factory with that work inside. Tell you what, I'll take it off your hands for what you paid for it just so you won't have to be embarrassed owning a non-original gun. I'll promise to take good care of it.

That's a "shooters gun" set up by someone who wanted it like HE wanted it.
The addition of the Sandersons fits the overall look to a T!
I'm glad its found a home with a man who is as knowledgeable as the first guy who put it together!

k22 re; kings
WOW , What a find ! Good to see someone who acts ,when the prize is presented .
If some one in the grip making biz was on the ball , a reproduction of these grips would sell , if only in a niche market.
Regards , Revolver Club Prez .

First, great gun! However, I'm not so sure this is a full-on King. King sights were sold to other gunsmiths. I'm not aware of King jeweling the internals. The hammer would be the part I would most associate with the work being done at King's however, it seems to not be King "Cockeyed" marked. It is also on a different, higher, angle than most double King hammers. My gut says this was done by another, high quality smith with King parts and he may have made the hammer in the King style or ordered it from King. At any rate, it is a WAY cool gat and with the Sanderson's an awesome set-up! How's the trigger? Bet it shoots flies eyes!
(btw- none of this was meant to take a poke at your K-22, just my observations from owning and coveting King and other high quality smithed gats.)

I would also associate this hammers higher arc to the fact that the "fishhook" style hammer that was original to the gun had that higher arch so it was probably necessary to do this. Thanks for your comments. It may very well not be 100% King-worked.
I will add that the hammer is not marked, but a lot of other King-associated hammers were not marked. I have a King Cockeyed hammer that is marked but have seen many others that are not marked. I looked at lots of pic of King hammers and noticed the checkering style and double-line border at the front of the "pad" towards the hammer nose were very similar to my guns hammer. I've also noticed that the overall shape, pitch, and style of King hammer varied quite a bit. I have seen some with square corners ( like this gun) and some with very rounded corners.
The jeweling may not be King either, I made that assumption based upon all the other King parts; hammer and sights.
