Default 38 6" heavy barrel

Hi all
I am looking at a 38spl S&W revolver 6" heavy barrel square butt
That looks pretty good in the pictures anyway. (hand ejector)
Back strap is grooved, serial in the normal place on the butt
is K (space)302XXX. No model # inside the yoke. just an assembly #. Adjustable sights, blue finish

Fairly modern I'd bet, maybe '50s but still C&R I think
Any Ideas before I bid on it. Would be nice if it is C&R as the red tape is less.
Thanks in advance
Aloha
Gordy

K288,989 – K317,822...1957 (manufacture)

That one likely shipped around October 1957, so it is safely a C&R. It's a K-38 Masterpiece target revolver. That was about the time model numbering started, and would shortly become a Model 14. Depending upon condition, might be worth $400-$700 in most places. I don't know about Hawaii pricing.

Thank you Sir!
It is a clean piece bid at $450 now, but several days on the auction. I like it and will be following the sale.
Thanks again
Gordy
