I've been sort of collecting relatively newer Smith & Wessons for the past few years, then the M&P bug kind of snuck up on me. This is a 4" M&P I got at the local gun store today. It is in very good shape and locks up tight, and the action is very smooth. The colors on the hammer and trigger are nice and the blue is in very good shape with a small worn spot on the left barrel end. The serial #C1866xx matches on all numbered parts, including the right grip. I would really appreciate if anyone could let me know an approximate date of manufacture. The workmanship on these older Smiths is addicting, and I can see why a lot of you seek them out over anything newer. I ended up getting this one and a 6" that I posted about in another thread. Can't wait to shoot them both....
