Default Information needed on this old gun.

I have a S & W seven shot rev. in blue with a four digit serial number on the bottom of the grip frame. It is smaller than a J frame and has a 3 & 3/8" barrel. No side latch for the swing out just a under barrel pull to open. What can you folks tell me about this rev. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Sorry I don't have a photo to show.

Based on your description, I believe you have a 2nd Model Ladysmith. It's a small (M) frame revolver chambered for the .22 Long cartridge (not .22 Long Rifle). They were made in the early 1900's and are quite valuable in excellent condition.

This link explains how to load images, if you're able to get a digital photo of the gun. Smith & Wesson Forum - FAQ: Reading and Posting Messages

....
I just wanted to emphasize that - not .22LR. They were made for blackpowder .22 Long. Too many of these little guns have had .22LR shot through them, and the forcing cone blown out (the end of the barrel that extends between the inside of the frame and the cylinder). I wouldn't shoot anything stronger than .22CB shorts, if at all.

Yes, pics please!

This is a 1st Model Ladysmith. It will look something like yours but yours will have a front lug and knob for the cylinder release. These guns were made on the M frame.
