No Chief there's not. I don't remember what the correct term for this sight is, but it's the plain black one. No gold or silver bead.

Paul, I do have some. Never even crossed my mind. I have been wanting to experiment with "props". Guess this gun is a good one to start with.

Brace.....yup. That's the one. I've always figured I'll end up paying too much......ain't the first, won't be the last

JS. I It is a 4 digit. The other LERK the Woodlawn Boys had sold for $1000 more than this one, it was a 3 digit.

Thanks for the compliments folks.

But it didn't have the HH,OR the original box. Of course,K 130 is still pretty strong.

No HH = Humpback Hammer in any of the pictures in this post. What am I missing here?

The K130 that was auctioned off sold for $2,924.00. It was a nice gun with a tired box. It commanded the auction price because it was the 30th post war K22 manufactured. That is the only reason for the hammer to fall at that price.

HH.....Humpback Hammer..... I get it. My apologies. I was referring to the Helpful Hints brochure. Which did not come with this gun, just for clarification.

I wasn't knocking the the K130. I wish I could have afforded that one as well.

How can you tell it was the 29th? Not being cocky, I would like to know.

No apologies necessary. HH just brings the vision of a Humback Hammer to me especially when someone starts the dialogue with 'Outdoorsmen'.

K130 would be a nice one to put away. Didn't happen for me either.
First 3rd model K22 was 'K101'. K101 - K130 = 30. There you go.

I'm glad to see that I am not the only OCDer on the forum. I have to say when I saw Bob's beauty upside down, my first impulse was to rotate them and fix it... Glad you beat me to it.

Bob:

That K22 LERK is a beauty!

Congrats and thanks for sharing,

I think it was a good deal at 2k. I just paid 949.00 plus tax and shipping for this one without the box. Your revolver is in much better shape.DSCN2282.jpg

I picked up 4 digit S/N K22 LERK several month ago and although it is not in the best condition probably 90 - 95 percent, it is now mine to care for. It did come with what appears to be the original box, you can still make out most of the correct S/N on the bottom and I also got some paper work and all the tools except the SAT.
This OP on this thread mentioned the Helpful Hints (HH) brochure. I was wondering if anyone can date the Helpful Hints? When I picked up this K22 lerk which was shipped in April of 1947 it had what I consider the early version of the Helpful Hints, the one with the office wearing the Coat. Can the brochures be dated and was this version used into the late 40's (post war).
I have 3 different versions of the Helpful hints in my file.

Nuguy,
Have a look at this...... 410bore put it together and I've found it very helpful.

Helpful Hints Pamphlet Variations

I doubt that there is any specific dates for which HH brochures were issued with firearms. I the only "event" that may show some sort of definate cut off/start point would be WW2. But I wouldn't be one bit surprised to find out that a post war gun shipped with a prewar brochure.
