K22 am I correct??
Is this called a K22 or Pre-18 I brought it home with a nice 29-3 cut for scope rings and combat grips

Your 29-3 was cut by the factory for those scope rings and is a desirable model.

I have K155836 that shipped 11/5/52 and K159976 that shipped 12/28/52. If yours shipped close to sequential order it looks like maybe early 1953.

That's a very nice looking Combat Masterpiece!
Inexpensive kits for filling the roll stamped letters with gold or silver were popular during the 1970s and early 1980s. They had a bottle full of the gold or silver colored particles suspended in a liquid that evaporated. I probably still have a kit that I never used. I'll bet acetone or finger polish remover would dissolve the gold filling. I would not add the gold to an otherwise original old gun but unless I was selling it I probably wouldn't bother to remove it either. The gold just shows that back in the day someone was enjoying their C.M. I'll bet it shoots great.

Yes, what you have is a pre-18 K22 Combat Masterpiece, manufactured in 1952 (K 136691 - K 175637). You can add 20% to the value for that 5screw frame.

My old kit is a Bonanza but the original poster wrote he used gold flake grease.
