Delete Please Smith & Wesson case coloring, who?
I have a M-29 in great condition but the case coloring on the hammer and trigger are fading. Who can re-case these without looking too vivid, like Turnbulls?

Smith had a patented process.
Here's a page of those that CCH: https://www.google.com/search?source....0.ZFbuGtwdj3s
You'll have to ask if they can tone down the colors to match S&W.

I have been thinking along the same line and thought I might give these folks a shot.

The name Ford's comes up often, but you should move this question to the Gunsmithing section where the bluing & CC experts hang out.

I was faced with your dilemma. I found a new matching set of hammer and trigger, and bought them. It cost me about the same as sending mine out for several months and having a parts gun sit in the safe. Plus I knew what I was getting. It worked for me.

Buy your own
Mike, I didn't think of that. Buying my own in hand makes much more sense than trying to tell some how you want the finished.
Thanks again

Plus you still have a hammer and trigger to sell to recoup part of your cost, maybe most of it.
