I came across this someplace I'm not going to mention. After I stopped laughing, I knew I just had to share at least a glimpse with the knowledgeable folks here:

A decently preserved British Service Revolver with the well-known and not exactly rare post-war Austrian police stamp and a crude inventory number on the side. To the right collector, worth maybe $350 to $400.

But I bet you didn't know how scarce a "square butt K-frame" is, and that this doubles the value. The fact that the trigger is serrated (like on every Victory ever made) makes it a Target Trigger. And Österreich somehow turned into Osterheim. Oh well.

The best part is that this jewel can be yours starting at only $1299. Too bad I can't tell you where
