Default 2" Victory & Commando: Strange coincidence

Just a little oddity I observed on Gunbroker today:

Both a refinished 2" Victory and an original 2" Commando sold on GB today. Both lettered, the Victory a "no records found", the Commando to Fresno PD.

Different sellers, different buyers.

But both ended up selling for EXACTLY the same price after moderately lively bidding (including yours truly on the Colt):
$ 1,251.00

Guess that just happens sometimes.

Yours was the better buy since the Victory is refinished (poorly).

Looks like S&W values are catching up to Colts.

I wish it were my buy . The final price would have been affordable, but someone else had been consistently bidding from the start and obviously wanted it, so I had set my limit at 1200 to not get drawn into a duel. Ironically, someone then jumped over him and took it.

But indeed, the combination of refinish, what looked like new stocks, and the no-record letter turned me off the Victory, while the Commando, without a doubt all original plus a police dept. letter destination, would have fit two of my collecting interests.

I saw a Commando snubby yesterday, appeared correct. Except it was close to 0% original finish. Seller wanted $500.
