S&W Branded Grip Adapter

I found this S&W branded grip adapter today at the flea market for $1.00.

I put it on my .32-20 1899 and it was a perfect fit. I'm sure it was not made for a 1899 but it worked out well on it.

Did S&W market their own adapters at some point or did someone just pirate the logo?

The company did not make that grip adapter, but in an old post I recall someone knew who did. Problem is I can't find the thread. I picked one up last year in the box and as far as I can recall, they are from the 1950s-1960s. I put one on my K22 Outdoorsman.

It's a wonder the company did not have their name on the box/paperwork.

Still and all it really helped the .32-20.

Those were made by Mershon, which I believe was later bought by Pachmayr.
