Default And of course that famous "saw handle" grip...

From the "Note These Exclusive Features" section of an early S&W Highway Patrolman advertising flyer. In all my years of S&W collecting, I was blissfully ignorant that S&W referenced their grip as a famous "saw-handle" grip. What say you?

Interesting - I never associated the two but I can see the resemblance to a couple of saws that have passed through my hands.

Glad I could help...Those introductory flyers add a lot to the story of the new 1950s revolvers.

On their return address they use SAW not S&W. Is it possible that is the same for the SAW Handle Grip?

I recall reading the term many years ago. Not particularly accurate.
