Great gun. You hardly ever see plated CMs and wonder if that pristine finish is nickel or chrome? Also, could you take a picture of the end label on the box? I have been following these CMs and the boxes they came in and wondered if yours has a paper label glued onto the box?

Great find, Paul. Thanks for showing it.

You are probably aware that the SAT (screwdriver) is much newer than the gun. That style showed up around 1964.

Well the biggest problem is that the label says Blued Finish??? That could likely mean that either the box does not match or the gun has been plated post factory. All I can make out is what appears to be a 125, but the "1" may not be a number marking?? Those numbers seem to match the last three numbers marked across the label which is either a 123 or a 125.

My guess is that if the gun was originally nickel, there would be a marking on the label indicating that.

Great gun.
You need to ask Roy for a corrected letter. Letter says "Four Screw".......

Great letter. Box matches, since the gun was originally blued as the letter and label state. It might have been chromed when the presentation engraving was done in 1953.

It's a sweet one alright! Wonder if someone in the family has the original stock, not that I'd swap them out or anything. The ones on it are a perfect match for that gun.
