Model of 1953 .22/32 Kit Gun - "Pre-Model 34"
I picked up my first Kit Gun today. USPS made the process more interesting than I'd like, but a patient seller ensured that it got to me.
If I read the book properly it's a Model of 1953 .22/32 Kit Gun - "Pre-Model 34." As close as I can tell, serial number 7328 dates it to some time in 1954.
I can't wait to get better lighting for better pictures. I really can't wait to get it to the range.

You found a dandy!
Yes, late in '54 or possibly early '55.
If you haven't fired one yet, they'll take a bit of getting used to, to realize their full accuracy potential because they are so light.
Once you do, you'll be amazed. I often shoot mine at 50 yards and it does as well as my 4" which is very good.
Congrats and enjoy!

Love these little 34s. I looked for an early model like yours for quite a while and finally settled for a later model.

That is a beauty! Does the right grip backside have a stamped serial # to match the gun?
Actually the improved model is the old I frame with just the coil spring improvement that replaces the leaf spring.
Yours is a Model of 1953 or Model 34, both built on the New I frame with larger trigger guard and 1/8" longer grip frame.

Jim,
My serial number is slightly more than 2,000 after zippity's
The grip panel is numbered, but it is a few 100,000 off from the gun.
This revolver and a nickel square butt Model 37 were found in one of my old Pawn Shop stops back about 10 years ago. I bought the pair for $425 out the door.
I love these shark finned snubbies

Outstanding purchase, even 10 years ago for guns in that great condition!
A # that's 2000 above zipty6's would likely have shipped the 1st quarter of 1955. But it very well could have shipped the same month as zipty6's
or even before. The ship dates are really jumbled in that period. I show a #9240 that shipped 11/54.
That # 9XXX makes it a 1953 Model also and a 4 screw as well!
