Acquired a beat up .38 spec. 5 screw with a star 5604xx.
Any help would be appreciated.
Pretty minimal info to go on but assuming it's a 6 shot 38 Special and you haven't omitted a letter prefix best guess would be a Military & Police Model from mid 1920s. If it's not a 38 Special or if it's a 5 shot revolver or if you did omit a prefix then it's something else.
