Default 1931 K22 Outdoorsman

First year gun

Just picked it up at my local shop in near mint condition for $800 OTD. What a deal!

Always loved these models, just never found the right one before now. Enjoy the pics...

Now I'm not an expert, don't pretend to be and don't play one on TV, but based on those images, that seems to be about 1/2 of what that one could have brought!

p.s. --------- GORGEOUS!!!!

One of my favorite S&Ws. Great pics of a great gun. Based on SNs of K-22 ODs in my collection, I would guess that it shipped in late 1931, but maybe early 1932. I love the gold bead front sight and I would expect that it has the "one screw" rear site (i.e. no set screw for the elevation adjustment).

Congrats!

Absolutely beautiful!! And what a great price! 50% off! I love the early gold bead front sight , mine is later with the silver bead. You will love shooting yours, they are as they say tack drivers. Enjoy

Well stand on my head and call me shorty!

Deal of the year. She is mint. And with a Gold Bead.
I've got one with the Silver Bead and I wish it was the Gold.

Be still, my twitching trigger finger! That's one of the most exciting entries I've seen on this forum... and I've been watching it a while.

Congratulations on a super find.

Consider looking for a set of prewar targets for it! You will not regret it.

Rich:

Thanks for sharing that Beautiful gun.The crispness of the checkering on those spectacular Ropers and the cockeyed hammer peg the "cool meter".
